There are many scientific questions and knowledge gaps beyond sea spray aerosols (SSAs), including aerosol emissions from freshwater (e.g., harmful algal bloom in lake spray) or aerosol emissions due to a heterogeneous spill (e.g., aerosolization of an oil slick).
We integrate theory, laboratory and field experiments, and numerical simulations to address these science questions on the physics of aerosolization from aquatic environments.
